Helping you do what’s

right for you, not what is expected of you.

You can understand a pattern and still feel unable to change it. Hypnotherapy helps us go beyond intellectual understanding and work with what logic alone cannot always reach.

About Me

I’m Reena, a qualified hypnotherapist from London, now living and working in Paris. Growing up as a British Asian girl in an Indian community, I was surrounded by expectations about what a “good Indian girl” should be and what a successful life should look like.

I studied Mathematics and Statistics at the London School of Economics, trained as an accountant at Deloitte and went on to hold senior finance roles, including Head of Finance for a mental health charity. Through that career, I came to understand how easily achievement and status can become tied to our identity and sense of worth.

Living with chronic illness changed my relationship with my body, my capacity and my sense of self. Moving from London to Paris meant adjusting to a different culture, rebuilding a support system and finding a sense of belonging away from the place where I grew up.

My work draws on my professional training, but it is not shaped by textbooks alone. All of these experiences influence how I understand identity, illness, belonging and the expectations we carry, often without consciously choosing them.

How I Work

We explore the life surrounding what brings you to hypnotherapy: when it began, what was happening at the time, what you came to believe and how your responses may once have helped you cope, belong or feel safe.

Mind and body belong together

I understand the mind and body as one connected system. Emotional experiences can be felt physically, just as physical illness can shape how we feel, think and move through the world. Neither exists without each other.

Understanding is not always enough

Sometimes we understand a pattern consciously but still cannot change it. Hypnotherapy allows us to move beyond intellectual understanding and work with the beliefs, associations and protective responses held within the subconscious.

You remain in control

You remain aware and in control throughout. Hypnosis is not something I do to you. It is a process we enter together.

The aim is not to turn you into someone else.

It is to give you the freedom to be who you were before the world told you who you had to be to belong.
